Pranayama is a sanskrit word, made with “prana” + “āyama”. Meaning, expanding of the prana (vital bio-electric energy) in the body through controlled breathing with series of methods. Pranayama is as old as the human race, developed by great Indian sages many thousands years ago. Pranayama is a little known and a practice.

Yoga and Pranayama class starts with a warm-up (known as suksham yoga or micro-yoga) to induce flexibility and breath control followed by a series of yoga asanas. The second phase is sitting and the practice of Pranayama under the guidance of the teacher. This leads swiftly to a concentrated and mindful state where you will be guided into a meditation from Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.
